History
Muckey’s began as a small mom
and pop convenience store in 1986 when
Bill and Cindy Seckinger and Bill’s father
Bill Senior bought an existing store
in Pembroke, Massachusetts.
As the business grew the family felt
comfortable to expand and purchase a full
liquor store on route 44 in Lakeville, Massachusetts.
As the family matured
Bill and Cindy’s children Billy and Kim were
brought on board making this
independent business a complete family business.
In 2001 a major expansion of the Lakeville
store took place increasing the sales
area by triple. Also during this time the Pembroke
store was sold to allow the
family to concentrate all of their efforts on the Lakeville
location.
The many years of hard work and family
commitment have resulted in Muckey’s
Liquors of Lakeville becoming the preeminent retail
liquor store in the area.
They can claim the best full service redemption center,
the top propane center in
the area and the most active retailer of wine and beer
events.
The Seckinger family is proud of all
of their accomplishments and their commitment is
to continue to create new and interesting additions
to their business. One of their
most successful recent efforts is the “Wines
of the Month Club” now numbering well
over 300 members.
You will almost always find one of
the family members working in the store. Be sure
to say “Hello” the next time you are in. |
